I know I've blogged about this before, but I thought I'd share a few of the health tips I have followed since becoming pregnant.
Eating watermelon (one of the most alkaline foods you can eat -- it helps keep your pH level balanced -- I'm on my eleventh one since May!)
Drinking eVamor water (or another pH balanced water).
Taking a DHA supplement (I plan to continue taking this while nursing).
Going for walks near daily. Even short walks just to get moving.
Swimming -- as I got further along, I used a raft to kick instead of swim because my stomach muscles were already getting pretty loose and I didn't want them to stretch/get pulled.
Eating tons of organic fruit and veggies and organic meat.
Staying semi-gluten free (I can't be 100% gluten free because I really need the whole grains for baby's development. That, and since my choice to be gluten free was just that -- a choice -- not due to an actual allergy, I figured it would be good to introduce it back into my diet so that the baby had it too -- so hopefully not to acquire my husband's allergy.)
Doing all of these (or a combination) has helped me stay energized and feeling "normal" during this entire process. My doctor is floored that I have experienced no edema despite the hot summer months. And that makes me happy, too, because who wants swelling feet and ankles when shorts/capris are the current uniform?

Good for you for adopting all great habits!
Good for you...and NO edema. That makes pregnancy sooo much better too.
9 more days...woo hoo!!
Have you done a lot of probiotics? That was my pet obsession, especially once I started researching the Strep-B testing.
Keep up the good work, and it's a great idea to carry over your good habits, especially while you're nursing, and then when the baby starts eating solids - Cam also eats all organic fruits and veggies that I make myself!
